Commercial-grade patio heaters
Infrared heaters warm people and surfaces directly, not the air, so they work on open patios, covered terraces and restaurant dining areas. We carry two makers built for that kind of use: Schwank, with gas infrared heaters in 316 marine grade stainless steel, and Eurofase, with electric infrared heaters for indoor and outdoor spaces. As an authorized dealer, we help you size, mount and control the system.
Gas or electric infrared
-
Gas infrared: supremeSchwank heaters run at 23,000, 35,000 or 50,000 BTU/h on natural gas or propane, with two-stage models for high and low heat. phantomSchwank tube heaters add a very low profile for covered ceilings.
-
Electric infrared: Eurofase heaters come in 3,000 W single element and 6,000 W dual element models, from 208 to 480 volts. They are IPX4 rated for indoor and outdoor use and need no gas line.

Mounting and controls
Both makers offer wall, ceiling and pole mounts, including Eurofase 8 ft pole mounts and flush mount kits that recess the heater into the ceiling. For zones and automation, Eurofase contactor boxes work with 120V timers, thermostats and smart switches, and its universal relay control box accepts a 0-10V signal from home automation systems. Schwank offers remote kits, the patioPanel central switch and relay panels for its electric heaters.

Patio heater questions
Should I choose a gas or an electric patio heater?
Gas infrared heaters, like supremeSchwank, put out more heat per unit and suit large or open patios with a gas line nearby. Electric infrared heaters, like Eurofase, need only a dedicated electrical circuit, run silently and work indoors or out. Many restaurants mix both.
How high should a patio heater be mounted?
It depends on the output. Schwank recommends 8 to 10 ft for the 23,000 BTU/h supremeSchwank, up to 9 to 12 ft for the 50,000 BTU/h model, and never less than 8 ft. Eurofase lists an optimal height of 7 to 9 ft for the EF30 and 8 to 10 ft for the EF60. Always follow the manual for your model.
Can I install a patio heater under a covered patio?
Yes, within the maker's rules. Schwank's outdoor rating allows an overhead cover with no more than two side walls, and the manual lists clearances to the ceiling. Eurofase electric heaters are rated for indoor and outdoor use.
Can I control patio heaters from my phone or home automation?
Yes. The Eurofase universal relay control box accepts a 0-10V signal from home automation systems, and its contactor boxes work with smart switches, timers and thermostats. phantomSchwank tube heaters offer wireless control.
Who installs a patio heater?
A licensed electrician installs Eurofase heaters, and Eurofase requires licensed installation for its 3-year warranty. A licensed gas technician connects Schwank gas heaters and checks clearances and gas pressure.
