Warming Trends questions
Where are Warming Trends burners made?
Warming Trends is based in Colorado and states that all of its products are designed, engineered and assembled in the USA. The burners are made of brass.
What is the Warming Trends Universal U-series?
It is the current name for the round and square CROSSFIRE line in the Warming Trends catalog, with models such as the U240 and U300. Dimensions differ from the older CFB models, so check the spec sheet for the exact model you order.
Which ignition should I choose?
Match lit is the simplest and needs no power. Mercury is battery operated and needs no electricity. The 3VIK runs on a 3 volt battery pack for smaller burners, and the Platinum 24 volt hot surface ignition handles up to 680,000 BTU/hr with a wind cage that protects the pilot from wind and rain.
Does a CROSSFIRE burner need a cover?
Warming Trends asks that burners and ignitions without a WATERSTOP fitting be covered when not in use, or the ignition warranty is void. Covers should be at least 2 inches larger than the opening.
Can I use a CROSSFIRE burner indoors?
No. Warming Trends certifies its burners for outdoor fire features and outdoor fireplaces only. Never use one in an enclosed space.
