For the best results, we recommend installing a screen material to prevent the Fire Glass from settling below the Lava Rock. Stucco lathe, readily available at local hardware stores, serves as an excellent screen material. Once the screen material is in place, simply pour the Fire Glass on top, creating a stunning visual effect.
How Much Fire Glass do you Need?
Fire Glass serves as a decorative "topping" for your Fire Feature, requiring enough to create a layer approximately 1 ½” to 2" in depth. For added volume, you can use another filler material, such as Lava Rock, to bring the level up to the height of the fire ring.
